The Executive will collaborate closely with project leaders, engineers, and various stakeholders to guarantee that projects are completed punctually, within financial constraints, and adhere to the utmost quality and safety benchmarks.
Core Responsibilities:
- Leadership in Operations:
- Deliver strategic guidance and oversight to the operations team, which includes project leaders, site managers, and field personnel.
- Formulate and execute operational guidelines, protocols, and optimal practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure that all mechanical construction endeavors are conducted in accordance with corporate standards and industry regulations.
- Assess and monitor the performance of the operations team, offering mentorship, training, and development as necessary.
- Project Oversight:
- Supervise the planning, execution, and conclusion of mechanical construction projects, covering HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.
- Guarantee that projects are finalized on schedule, within budget, and meet the established quality and safety criteria.
- Work in conjunction with project leaders to create project frameworks, timelines, and financial plans.
- Review and authorize project-related documentation, including contracts, amendments, and financial statements.
- Financial Oversight:
- Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring that financial targets are achieved.
- Track project expenditures and implement cost-reduction strategies to enhance profitability.
- Prepare and present periodic financial updates to senior leadership, emphasizing key performance metrics and financial outcomes.
- Oversee the procurement process, ensuring that materials and equipment are sourced efficiently and align with project specifications.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Establish and nurture robust relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as the primary liaison for key clients, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with business development teams to identify and pursue new opportunities.
- Engage closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Quality Assurance and Safety Management:
- Implement and uphold quality assurance protocols to ensure that all work complies with industry standards and project specifications.
- Ensure adherence to all pertinent safety regulations, including OSHA and company safety policies.
- Conduct regular site evaluations to assess work quality, safety, and progress.
- Address and resolve any concerns related to construction quality, safety, or schedule delays.
- Risk Assessment and Problem Resolution:
- Identify potential risks to project success and devise mitigation strategies.
- Diagnose and resolve operational challenges that emerge during the construction process.
- Ensure that all issues are addressed promptly and effectively, minimizing disruptions to project timelines.
- Adjust operational plans as necessary to accommodate changes in project scope, timeline, or budget.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 10-15 years in mechanical construction, with at least 5 years in a senior management or director-level capacity.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical construction processes, including HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to inspire and develop personnel.
- Exceptional project management abilities, encompassing budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build and sustain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
- Robust financial acumen, with experience in budget management and cost control.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in mechanical construction.
- Certifications: PMP, LEED, or other relevant certifications are advantageous.
