Role SummaryWe are seeking a Client Relationship Specialist who excels in customer service and is eager to grow within our organization. This role is under the supervision of the Branch Manager and presents significant opportunities for career advancement.
Key Responsibilities:- Sales and Service: Promote and sell credit union deposit and loan offerings. Execute various financial transactions, including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and issuing cashier's checks and money orders. Ensure daily transaction balancing and cash verification. Assist colleagues as necessary and engage in extensive cross-selling of products and services.
- Member Support: Deliver prompt and professional assistance to members and potential members. Conduct a wide array of financial services, such as opening and closing retirement accounts, checking accounts, savings accounts, and term share accounts. Address member inquiries and resolve account-related issues. Achieve cross-sell targets for products and services. Handle member concerns both in-person and via phone.
- 30% Identify opportunities for cross-selling and actively promote products and services to members. Engage in sales development initiatives.
- 25% Address member inquiries through various communication channels in a professional and timely manner. Resolve complaints and follow up on requests. Stay engaged in call queues as scheduled.
- 20% Assist members with account openings, lending inquiries, and issue resolution within your authority. Refer complex matters to management with appropriate recommendations.
- 10% Process financial transactions for members, including deposits and withdrawals. Sell money orders and cashier's checks. Maintain accurate cash drawer balances.
- 5% Greet members, provide routine information about services, and direct them to the appropriate departments.
- 5% Ensure adherence to loan and account terms and conditions. Stay updated on current trends, laws, and regulations related to lending and consumer credit.
- 5% Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.
- Efficient and accurate execution of financial services in accordance with established policies and regulations.
- Maintain positive relationships with members by thoroughly explaining products and services and promptly resolving issues.
- Foster good working relationships with colleagues and management.
- Accurate and timely assessment of credit applications and related financial data.
- Uphold the professional reputation of the credit union.
- Accurate performance of teller functions in line with established procedures.
- Maintain a satisfactory record of cash balancing and promptly resolve discrepancies.
- Six months to two years of relevant experience.
- Exceptional communication, interviewing, and public relations skills.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is advantageous.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen.
- Proficient in operating relevant computer applications and business equipment.
- Good typing and mathematical skills.
