Position Overview: The Collections Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the accounts receivable collection processes for various projects and ongoing assignments. This position involves interviewing, training, and mentoring a team of collection specialists while monitoring their performance and collection efforts. The Supervisor will also conduct regular meetings with clients to review collection targets and activities.

The Supervisor is accountable for all collection-related activities for their designated clients. This includes conducting thorough research and follow-up on outstanding insurance claims to ensure timely resolution and adherence to departmental guidelines. All collection activities must be meticulously documented, following best practice standards. The Supervisor will analyze performance metrics to identify trends and communicate effectively with clients, as well as assess team strengths to optimize resource allocation for successful outcomes.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience in medical collections, with knowledge of managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursement; experience in home infusion is a plus
  • Familiarity with metric analysis, basic accounting principles, and coding systems such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS is preferred
  • Experience with automated billing systems; familiarity with CPR+/CareTend/Brightree/Kareo is advantageous
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
