Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Control and assist with food costs, inventory management, and ordering.
  • Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional cooking skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement menus, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Ensure a safe working environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary arts courses or degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, supervising and managing kitchen staff.
  • Proven ability to lead a team, communicate effectively, and manage inventory and food costs.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Moving about the kitchen in a safe and secure manner.
  • Handling food, objects, products, and utensils effectively and safely.
  • Bending, stooping, standing, and kneeling.
  • Withstanding potential climate temperature changes in assigned work area.
