Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Entertainment Consulting International LLC. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food and service to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Control and assist with food costs, inventory management, and ordering.
- Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
- Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional cooking skills and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement menus, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Ensure a safe working environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary arts courses or degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, supervising and managing kitchen staff.
- Proven ability to lead a team, communicate effectively, and manage inventory and food costs.
- Exceptional time management and organization skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands:
- Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Moving about the kitchen in a safe and secure manner.
- Handling food, objects, products, and utensils effectively and safely.
- Bending, stooping, standing, and kneeling.
- Withstanding potential climate temperature changes in assigned work area.
