Senior Real Estate Accountant

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

  • Manage monthly financial reporting for a portfolio that includes both commercial and residential properties.
  • Handle daily accounting tasks and month-end close activities, including bank reconciliations, accrual entries, and balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and file personal property declarations, as well as income and expense reports with local authorities.
  • Ensure timely payment of property and real estate taxes.
  • Support the budgeting process.
  • Assist with year-end reconciliations for Common Area Maintenance (CAM) and Operating Expenses (Opex).
  • Contribute to external audits for designated properties.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications and Desired Attributes for the Senior Accountant:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Experience in real estate or property accounting, either within the industry or through public accounting roles.
