Key Responsibilities:- Team Leadership: Supervise a team of accounts payable clerks with responsibility for analyzing and verifying invoices and other billing documents from vendors to ensure accuracy and appropriate three-way matching.
- Operational Efficiency: Leverage technology, including automation, to drive operational efficiency and effectively manage working capital.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies related to the payment of vendor invoices, including appropriate segregation of duties and adherence to authorized approval thresholds.
- Payment Scheduling: Track payment schedules through effective management of accounts payable processing worldwide, coordinating with cross-functional partners to ensure the company stays current on all vendor payment deadlines to prevent missed payments or late fees.
- Process Development: Develop and maintain efficient operational procedures applied consistently across the team.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate effective relationships with various internal teams, including Procurement, Legal, Tax, and Treasury.
- Support and Communication: Provide excellent cross-functional support and troubleshoot issues. Maintain and communicate individual and team performance standards.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related experience.
- Experience: 2-4 years' experience within a fast-paced setting, ideally with global/international exposure and in a leadership capacity.
- Technical Skills: Experience with financial management systems (e.g. PeopleSoft).
- Soft Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communications skills. Ability to develop and maintain an effective team. Experience in building strong internal and external business partner relationships.
- Personal Qualities: High attention to detail and organizational skills with a focus on operational efficiency. Thrive in stressful situations and maintain calm under pressure.
