Job Title: Transportation Fleet General Manager

Hobby Lobby is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Fleet General Manager to oversee the entire fleet operation and provide exceptional customer service to our retail stores. The successful candidate will report directly to the Vice President of Transportation and be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet, including tractors, trailers, and drivers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize fleet capacity, reduce operational costs, and improve efficiency.
  • Manage and monitor daily routes, including planning and executing delivery schedules, and overcoming unexpected obstacles and barriers.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including DOT, Hazmat, and OSHA standards.
  • Lead by example and model a culture of safety, proactively identifying and correcting unsafe conditions, work processes, and behaviors.
  • Collaborate with managers to reduce operating costs and improve overall fleet performance.
Requirements:
  • 8 years of experience in fleet management, with a strong background in logistics and transportation.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DOT, Hazmat, and OSHA regulations, with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
