Job Title: Product Manager - Compact Track Loaders

Yanmar Compact Equipment North America, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to lead the development and implementation of our Compact Track Loader (CTL) product line.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide market expertise and intelligence on CTLs and Skid Steer Loaders to the Product Management Team and distributors.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of CTLs and SSLs, including their applications, operations, and system functions.
  • Conduct competitive analysis, gathering and analyzing data, market trends, and identifying market opportunities.
  • Advise on pricing and promotional decisions, and provide recommendations and guidance.
  • Act as a business advocate, interpreting market trends, generating consumer feedback, and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Identify target markets and market penetration strategies.
  • Act as a Customer Advocate and Voice of The Customer, capturing and articulating market problems and translating them into market requirements for product management.
  • Monitor the creation and development of new products, performing ongoing market research, tracking customer satisfaction, and participating in the product decision-making process.
  • Discern and generate business cases for product extensions and product enhancements.
  • Participate in industry associations, trade-shows, and events to stay up-to-date with the major contractors/dealers in the industry.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, with an MBA preferred and engineering experience a plus.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction equipment sales, marketing, or engineering roles, with strong familiarity with CTLs and SSLs.
  • Professional-level knowledge of business development, marketing, and sales principles.
  • Strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and e-communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
  • Initiative to start and maintain projects with little supervision.
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite and SalesForce or other CRM solutions.
  • Problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Travel:

Ability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 25% of the time.
