Job Summary:

Amcor plc is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and preventive/predictive maintenance on various blow mold, auxiliary, and plant support equipment. The ideal candidate will have proven knowledge and skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, as well as troubleshooting and repair techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair blow mold equipment, auxiliary, and support equipment using mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills for safe and continuous operation.
  • Apply knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all types of equipment represented in the plant.
  • Inspect product for quality defects and have authority to stop production due to quality issues.
  • Maintain housekeeping of all assigned areas and follow all established safety rules and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with post-secondary education preferred.
  • Previous machine maintenance work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Efficient and effective computer use and related software.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to make priority decisions and independent judgment calls based on the situation at hand.
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to stand and walk up to 12-hours on concrete or other hard surfaces.
  • Occasionally required to lift/push/carry up to 70 lbs.
  • Able to lift, bend, and twist repetitively during shift.
  • Able to climb stairs/ladders up to 15 feet high.
Environmental Factors:
  • Continuous noise from 70 to 102dBOccasional exposure to chemicals
