Job Summary

The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Grants and Finance Associate to join our team. This is a part-time, benefits-eligible position with a schedule of 28 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a small portfolio of sponsored and non-sponsored funds, providing advice to faculty and staff on policies and procedures related to the assigned portfolio.
  • Manage accounts payable and purchasing under sponsored and non-sponsored funds, providing advice to faculty and staff on account payable and purchasing procedures and policy.
  • Assist Center finance directors with pre/post award administration, including budget and proposal preparation and electronic upload to the central office.
  • Assist with post-award, including preparation of monthly internal financial reports and salary distributions.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of related experience is required; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Harvard financial systems strongly preferred.

  • Works well independently and handles confidential information with discretion.
  • High level of initiative and motivation.
  • Experience being proactive, friendly, and confident in dealing with faculty and staff.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision and uses judgment regarding confidential or sensitive information.
