Job Overview

Located in Cleveland, Ohio, our G91 Pulmonary/Integrated Care Unit at the Main Campus is part of the Respiratory Institute. This 34-bed unit provides specialized care for higher acuity pulmonary step-down patients.

About the Role
As a Registered Nurse on our team, you will become familiar with complex medical histories, innovative surgical procedures, pain modalities, and comprehensive nutritional support. Your primary duties will include providing direct nursing care, monitoring and recording patients' conditions, preparing patient care plans, and administering prescribed medications. You will also be responsible for serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, assessing and coordinating patients' discharge planning needs, and maintaining professional growth through ongoing education and clinical study.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Implements and monitors patient care plans, monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assesses and coordinates patients' discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
  • Maintains professional growth through ongoing formal and informal education and clinical nursing study.

Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within one year of employment.

Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary range for this role is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
