POSITION: PROJECT ENGINEER
ROLE OVERVIEW:
Fortune-Johnson LLC is in search of a Project Engineer (PM Track) to enhance our workforce. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual who thrives in uncertain environments, possesses a visionary mindset, and upholds high standards of quality. This role is primarily focused on learning, which encompasses project administration, field operations, and the physical aspects of construction, laying the groundwork for future leadership capabilities. Advancement in this position will be contingent upon mastering the outlined responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effective Communication: Engage with subcontractors regarding project details and scope of work.
- Material Knowledge: Develop a solid understanding of the materials utilized in our projects.
- Contract Familiarity: Gain insight into contract documents.
- Drawing Interpretation: Ability to analyze drawings across various sets, submittals, and shop drawings.
- Field Recognition: Conduct site visits to identify details in the field.
- Correspondence Execution: Manage follow-up communications to support project tasks.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ad Hoc Reporting: Provide additional reporting as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- A collaborative team player who is adaptable to various roles.
- Capability to maintain focus in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in organizing, planning, and managing multiple tasks to achieve desired outcomes.
