Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

We are in search of an ER Registered Nurse for our vibrant Emergency Department. You will provide clinical expertise to guarantee that all patients receive high-quality, efficient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting. Our exceptional team works collaboratively to support one another, and we are looking for a remarkable addition who shares our commitment to meaningful patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the efficient flow of patients, including triage, screening, preparation for examination, providing general nursing care, and coordinating tests and admissions.
  • Educate patients and families on medications and treatment plans.
  • Maintain and review patient records, including documenting tests and examination results.
  • Administer medications according to physician orders.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid Florida Registered Nurse license in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If holding a compact license, an active Florida RN license is required within 60 days of hire.
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN is required; BSN is preferred.
  • Prior experience in an acute care environment is strongly preferred.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and/or ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) certifications are required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
  • Current NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification is required within 6 months of hire/transfer.
  • Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to comprehend written instructions and follow verbal directions, as well as proficiency in PC skills.
