Nexus Talent Connect is Seeking a Talented Associate with Experience in Medicaid Regulatory and Policy Issues

We are looking for an attorney with a passion for complex regulatory and policy questions related to the Medicaid program. As a dynamic and supportive team member, you will engage in projects that enhance access to affordable, high-quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic advice on regulatory and compliance issues
  • Assist with structuring and negotiating healthcare transactions
  • Implement various contractual arrangements
  • Counsel clients on the full range of legal issues affecting the healthcare industry
  • Engage in thorough legal research and analysis on Medicaid and other healthcare regulatory matters
  • Draft memoranda, pleadings, and other case documents with clarity and precision
  • Manage matters from commencement to final resolution, ensuring effective communication with clients and supervising attorneys

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree
  • 2-4 years of healthcare regulatory experience, including coverage and reimbursement
  • Preferred experience with Medicaid regulatory and policy issues and/or complex administrative law questions
  • Strong interest in issues involving Medicaid and expanding access to high-quality healthcare services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce regulatory analysis for a lawyer audience and high-level synthesis for a lay audience
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent legal research and analytical skills
  • Effective and efficient problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to work independently and proactively
  • Bar membership in good standing in the jurisdiction in which you plan to practice
