As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiography procedures, computed tomography, and related techniques to produce high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic radiography procedures, including computed tomography and related techniques.
  • Corroborate patient clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by licensed practitioners.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
  • Select and operate radiography equipment and associated devices to achieve desired results.
  • Position patients and equipment to best demonstrate anatomic areas of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort.
  • Immobilize patients as required for appropriate examinations.
  • Determine radiographic technique exposure factors, minimizing exposure to patients and others.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring proper identification is recorded.
  • Verify informed consent for, and assist licensed practitioners with, interventional procedures.
  • Practice aseptic techniques as necessary.
  • Assume responsibility for provision of physical and emotional needs of patients during procedures.
  • Initiate basic life support action when necessary.
  • Assist licensed practitioners with Fluoroscopic and specialized interventional radiography procedures.

Requirements:
