Job Summary

The Radiologic Specialist provides exceptional patient-centered care in a dynamic environment that prioritizes healing and well-being. Working under the supervision of the Radiology Director, this role involves administering Roentgen rays to patients, operating X-ray equipment, processing images, and preparing patient areas, equipment, supplies, and medications. The Radiologic Specialist operates all departmental equipment, performs advanced procedures requiring independent judgment and technical expertise, and assumes full responsibility for assigned areas. Additionally, this role involves assisting with training and education in the radiology department and maintaining proficiency in various modalities. The Radiologic Specialist may be required to take call and work varied hours according to assignment.

Requirements
  • Completion of an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
  • Minimum three years radiology experience; five years preferred
  • No experience required if possessing an advanced license
Key Qualifications
  • Ability to operate all appropriate radiology equipment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, physicians, and co-workers
  • Ability to communicate, think critically, and effectively about complex matters with others
  • Proficient in all aspects of diagnostics, including advanced procedures such as light interventional, fluoroscopy, and surgery procedures
  • Able to read, write legibly, speak in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional quality, use computer and software programs necessary to the position, and troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment
Licensures and Certifications
  • Current California Certified Radiologic Technician (CRT)
  • California Fluoroscopy License
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
