The **Production Supervisor - B Shift** is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the production process on the B shift. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that production requirements are met, and that the team is working efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production team members to ensure that production schedules are met.
- Monitor and control production costs, including labor, materials, and overhead.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other departments, including quality control, maintenance, and purchasing.
- Ensure that all production activities are conducted in a safe and healthy work environment.
- Monitor and report on production metrics, including quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure that production team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and address operational issues and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, operations management, or industrial engineering.
- 4-6 years of experience in a production or operations management role.
- 0-2 years of management experience.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.
- High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.
Work Environment:
The **Production Supervisor - B Shift** will work in a fast-paced production environment with occasional exposure to hazardous conditions caused by noise, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and other conditions associated with a high-traffic production floor.
Physical Demands:
The **Production Supervisor - B Shift** must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time. Bending, crouching, and stooping may be required. The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly is also necessary.
