IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and test algorithms, flight software, and related hardware for aerospace vehicles
  • Develop and evaluate complex GN&C algorithms and systems
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design and development teams
  • Support flight test of aircraft systems

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering or other related discipline and typically 14 or more years of experience
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Demonstrated experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools, analysis and simulation
  • Exposure to vehicle stability principles and control system design and analysis
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Matlab/Simulink to perform linear and nonlinear aircraft simulation analysis
  • Experience designing flight control laws for unmanned aircraft
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-1797B: Flying Qualities of Piloted Aircraft
  • Experience with overall flight control system development for aerospace vehicles, including knowledge of sensors suites, and aircraft actuation
  • Experience performing Hardware-in-the-Loop testing of integrated flight control systems
