Surgical Technologist Specialist

The Inova Alexandria Hospital is committed to delivering exceptional patient care and is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our esteemed Operating Room team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of surgical procedures, working closely with our talented team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the availability of necessary equipment.
- Collaborate with the circulating nurse to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless communication among team members.
- Anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgical team, expediting the procedure and ensuring the highest level of patient care.
- Participate in preceptorship and training programs, sharing expertise and knowledge with new and experienced staff members.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical advancements and technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Surgical Technologist program graduate preferred.
- 1-year experience as a Surgical Technologist; registration required, with eligibility for registration via the Commonwealth of Virginia at the time of hire.
- BLS certification via AHA required; CST or TS-C certification preferred.
