Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Advanced Technologies division. This role is integral to our mission of developing innovative nuclear reactor systems and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed engineering tasks, including the creation of drawings, calculations, and technical reports.
- Design mechanical components with a focus on assembly, testing, and inspection processes.
- Apply design control and configuration management principles effectively.
- Incorporate design for manufacturability and operational efficiency into projects.
- Adapt to new procedures and tools while overseeing various production stages.
- Define procurement specifications for mechanical components and system functionality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics is mandatory.
- A minimum of seven years of relevant experience in mechanical design.
- Experience with nuclear reactor core components and associated systems is essential.
- Familiarity with ASME Code, Sections III and VIII is required.
- Strong project engineering skills, including planning and scheduling.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment while also working independently.
- U.S. citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain necessary security clearances.
