Job Summary

World Relief seeks a seasoned Transformational Community Engagement Director to lead our Church and Community Engagement efforts in Fort Worth. As a key member of our team, you will develop and implement strategies to engage churches, mobilize volunteers, and foster a culture of giving and advocacy. This role requires a deep understanding of community needs, exceptional people management skills, and a passion for empowering the Church to make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive community engagement strategy, aligning with World Relief's mission and vision.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director of CCE to drive healthy growth and reproducibility in our CCE efforts.
  • Equip and train staff to become fundamentally sound in CCE practices, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional results.
  • Lead the development and assessment of metrics across CCE activities, providing regular reports and presentations to stakeholders.
  • Provide coaching and supervision to staff, investing in their development and growth.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new team members, ensuring a seamless transition into their roles.
  • Maintain and develop effective church relationships, fostering a culture of giving, serving, advocating, and equipping.
  • Represent World Relief at church outreach events and speaking engagements, promoting our mission and values.
  • Support volunteer coordination staff in volunteer recruitment, training, coaching, and retention efforts.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in volunteer management, church relations, or community engagement.
  • Strong people management skills, with a passion for working through a team to engage stakeholders with giving opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills and emotional intelligence, with the ability to step into challenging interpersonal situations and address conflict.
  • Confidence and cultural sensitivity to effectively engage colleagues from every area of the organization.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to navigate competing priorities and meet concurrent objectives.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with the ability to think outside the box on a frequent basis.
  • Experience launching and growing new initiatives.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Previous supervisory skills are preferred.
  • Mature and personal Christian faith.
  • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief.
  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities.
  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Relief's statement of faith.
  • Cross-cultural experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Theology, or related field.
  • Some travel required, up to 25% domestic travel only.
  • Valid Driver's License Required.
Salary and Benefits

$26-$28 per hour.
