Job Summary

Blue Canyon Technologies is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer II to develop and implement manufacturing processes for the building, testing, and delivery of spacecraft and spacecraft components. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for owning production execution for a single Spacecraft or Component Product Line, ensuring timely delivery and providing hands-on support for manufacturing and test technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes for spacecraft and spacecraft components
  • Provide hands-on support for manufacturing and test technicians
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for non-conforming product, troubleshooting and investigating failures to determine root cause and corrective actions
  • Create mechanical and electrical assembly instructions, focusing on standardizing across projects and products while streamlining workflow of hardware through needed work centers
  • Design fixturing and tooling to aid manufacturing
  • Understand in-house business systems, including Configuration Data Management tools, Manufacturing Execution System, MRP, manufacturing shop floor control, and internal status reporting
Requirements
  • BS or AAS degree in an Engineering field or equivalent discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in at least one core product area: Electronics, Mechanical/Machining, Optics, RF, or Spacecraft Integration
  • Proficiency with interpreting technical engineering drawings, bills of material, and technical documents, including test and integration procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written communication skills, oral presentation skills, and ability to lead group discussions with both internal and external customers
  • Related technical experience will be considered in lieu of education
Working Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
