The Operations Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Service Operations Department at one or more assigned locations. This position requires a strong leader who can collaborate with various teams to create an exceptional associate and customer experience aligned with CarMax culture.
Key Responsibilities- Manage team and processes associated with vehicle production and servicing
- Analyze data and identify opportunities to improve business performance
- Display financial acumen through P&L management
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance customer and associate experience
- Interview, hire, train, and promote associates to support Service Operations and company growth
- Collaborate with senior management team to set strategy for the store and provide vision, direction, and motivation to team
- Champion and implement company and store initiatives for consistent execution and procedures
- Resolve customer and associate issues
- Facilitate and participate in meetings and conference calls
- Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records
- Completion of CarMax provided training in all areas of the Inventory, Cosmetic, and Production processes
- Ability to multi-task in a high-energy, fast-paced work environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to make independent judgments regarding critical business decisions
- 3+ years of experience as a Manager, retail management preferred
- Bachelor's Degree a plus
- Intermediate computer skills
