Position Overview:
The Cardiovascular Technician plays a crucial role in the healthcare team by conducting a variety of diagnostic cardiographic assessments on patients under the supervision of physicians and the Practice Manager.


Essential Qualifications:

Education: A High School Diploma is mandatory.

Experience: A background of one to two years in a relevant role as a Cardiovascular Technologist or EKG Technician within a medical or physician's office is highly desirable. Familiarity with holter applications is also preferred. Experience as a Certified Exercise Specialist (CES) is advantageous.

Licensure and Certification: Certification as a Certified Exercise Specialist (CES) is preferred.

Key Skills:
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly with GE Centricity electronic medical records (EMR) and Meditech.
- Strong command of medical terminology.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cardiovascular and thoracic anatomy, cardiovascular pathophysiology, hemodynamics, and embryology to identify normal and abnormal cardiovascular structures, functions, and blood flow irregularities.
- Understanding of ultrasound physics, instrumentation, tissue characteristics, and blood flow measurements.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
- Strong computer skills are essential.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
