Job Summary:
As a Cardiovascular Tech at Emerson Hospital, you will play a critical role in performing a wide variety of diagnostic cardiological testing on patients. Reporting to Physician(s) and the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic cardiological testing, including echocardiograms, stress tests, and holter monitoring.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely results.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular and thoracic anatomy, pathophysiology, and hemodynamics.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical terminology, ultrasound physics, and instrumentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required.
- One to Two years of relevant work experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist or EKG Technician highly preferred.
- Previous experience with holter applications highly preferred.
- Certified Exercise Specialist (CES) preferred.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
