About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Kitchen and Bath Designer to join our team at Gilcrest Jewett Lumber. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and design expertise to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solicit new business opportunities and conduct site visits to assess client needs and provide design solutions.
  • Assist clients in selecting products and materials for their kitchen and bath projects, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Conduct pre-construction site inspections and measurements to ensure accurate design and installation.
  • Utilize automated design software to create custom designs and specifications for clients.
  • Prepare and present bid proposals to clients, ensuring clear and concise communication of design and pricing information.
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and completion of projects.
  • Review and process client payments and credits, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain current knowledge of sales performance and margin goals, making adjustments as needed to meet targets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure ongoing business opportunities.
Requirements
  • 60 hours of NKBA professional development programming or equivalent technical degree preferred.
  • 3-7 years of Kitchen and Bath industry experience required.
  • Advanced computer-aided drafting skills, salesmanship, and design presentation skills.
  • Valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle in the state of sales activity required.
