About the Role

Gilcrest Jewett Lumber Co is seeking a highly skilled Kitchen and Bath Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for working with customers and builders to design and select products for their kitchen and bathroom projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and select products for kitchen and bathroom projects, working closely with customers and builders to ensure their needs are met.
  • Conduct site visits and measurements to ensure accurate design and installation.
  • Utilize computer-aided drafting skills to create designs and presentations for clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, builders, and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, products, and technologies to provide expert advice and guidance to clients.
  • Collaborate with the design team to develop and implement design concepts and strategies.
  • Participate in sales and marketing efforts to promote our products and services.
Requirements
  • 3-7 years of experience in the kitchen and bath industry.
  • Advanced computer-aided drafting skills and experience with design software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, builders, and vendors.
  • Knowledge of kitchen and bathroom design, construction, and building materials.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 60 hours of NKBA professional development programming or equivalent technical degree.
  • Experience with sales and marketing efforts, including social media and advertising.
