Job Summary:

To provide high-quality diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, utilizing advanced knowledge and skills in cardiac sonography. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Performing diagnostic procedures, including routine, emergent, portable, and surgical examinations, in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Communicating effectively with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Assisting patients with transportation and other needs, as required.
  • Entering data accurately and efficiently, with attention to detail and quality assurance.
  • Restocking supplies, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
  • Participating in on-call or standby schedules, as required.
Basic Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two years of experience in cardiac sonography, or completion of an AMA-approved program and successful completion of one year of ultrasound training and certification.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer Certificate within 12 months of hire from Cardiovascular Credentialing International, or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certificate within 12 months of hire from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • Sonography Technologist License (Oregon) and Basic Life Support within one month of hire.
Additional Requirements:
  • Completion of a formal training program in cardiac sonography.
  • Previous experience with TEE, Stress Echo, and Pediatric Echosonography is preferred.
Notes:

This position requires 50% travel to SMC, with the ability to work independently and confidently in a fast-paced environment.
