Job Summary:

To provide high-quality diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, utilizing technical skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Performing diagnostic procedures, including routine, emergent, portable, and surgical examinations, in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Communicating effectively with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Assisting patients with transportation and providing support as needed.
  • Entering data accurately and efficiently, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Restocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and performing quality assurance functions to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Participating in on-call or standby schedules as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Basic Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a related field, with a strong foundation in cardiac sonography and ultrasound technology.
  • A minimum of a two-year AMA-approved program in diagnostic medical sonography, with successful completion of an ultrasound training program and certification.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Registration as a Cardiac Sonographer or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer within 12 months of hire, with a valid Sonography Technologist License (Oregon) and Basic Life Support certification.
Additional Requirements:
  • Completion of a formal training program in cardiac sonography or a related field.
  • Previous experience with TEE, Stress Echo, and Pediatric Echosonography, with a strong understanding of ultrasound technology and cardiac anatomy.

  • Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, and technical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and confidently, with a strong sense of initiative and adaptability.
