Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable individual to join our team as an After School Group Leader. As a Group Leader, you will provide direct supervision of children and implement quality after school care programs.

Responsibilities
  • Implement a culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate curriculum that creates a positive and nurturing environment.
  • Provide direct supervision of children and ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Assist the Site Director in the implementation of programs and activities that promote youth development.
  • Facilitate peer-to-peer connections and promote a sense of community among children.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
Work Environment

The YMCA of Central Kentucky's part-time After School Group Leader position is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. The employee will work in a school setting, providing care and supervision to elementary school age and/or preschool age children.
