We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Associate to join our team at the University of Miami. As a Patient Access Associate, you will be the first point of contact for patients and customers entering our facility, providing a welcoming and professional experience.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service and greet patients and visitors in a timely and friendly manner.
- Assist patients with check-in and check-out processes, including obtaining identification and verifying patient information.
- Operate self-serve kiosks and assist patients with navigation.
- Manage patient flow and communicate with the clinical team to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
- Identify patients at risk of falls and place appropriate wristbands.
- Provide updates to patients waiting in the reception area.
- Interface effectively with all members of the healthcare team and keep patients informed of any delays.
- High School Diploma required.
- Customer Service Experience preferred.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, navigate multiple systems, and independently service patients promptly. The Patient Access Associate must be able to adapt to changing situations and personalities, and possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
