Job Overview

Position Summary:

We are looking for a proficient multi-skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep, repair, and installation of manufacturing and processing machinery. This role is designated for the Second Shift, operating from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

Work Environment:

This position will be situated in our 24/7 manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on production and processing machinery, utilities, refrigeration systems, and facilities
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain piping systems, motors, pumps, control panels, pneumatic systems, and controls
  • Enhance equipment performance and minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure maximum machine availability
  • Train fellow technicians on equipment maintenance and setup
  • Utilize a computerized Maintenance Management System to track work orders, parts usage, and equipment data
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and propose efficiency enhancements
  • Recommend and implement modifications to boost equipment reliability and performance
  • Adhere to food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation protocols
  • Engage in regular team meetings
  • Perform additional duties as required

Candidate Profile:

  • Capable of safely working around complex, automated machinery in a non-climate-controlled setting
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proactive in identifying root causes and resolving issues
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively

Qualifications:

  • Preferred 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or processing environment as a Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, Utilities Operator, Refrigeration Technician, or Preventative Maintenance Technician
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on machine maintenance and repair experience required
  • Experience in a food, beverage, or GMP compliant setting is preferred
  • Multi-craft skillset with knowledge in Electrical, PLC, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Motors, and mechanical systems
  • Must successfully complete a maintenance aptitude assessment prior to hiring
