Duro-Last Roofing, a leading manufacturer of prefabricated roofing systems, is seeking a skilled Roofing Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in the New Orleans area. This is a full-time, year-round, salaried position with excellent benefits and growth potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough on-site inspections of roof installations to ensure quality and workmanship.
- Issue roof warranties in accordance with Duro-Last specifications.
- Perform repairs to Duro-Last roofs as needed.
- Develop and deliver on-site training classes to contractors on proper roof installation techniques.
- Provide technical support to Duro-Last contractors and sales representatives in the territory.
- Schedule inspections and repairs, and prepare reports for warranties.
- Work in a physically demanding environment, requiring bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, climbing, etc.
Requirements:
- Two to four years of experience in commercial low-slope roofing is highly desirable.
- Two to four years of previous experience in construction, quality assurance, and roof inspections is highly desirable.
- Strong motivation, organization, time management, documentation, and communication skills (both oral and written) are essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize are necessary.
- Demonstrated strong work ethics (punctual, dependable, and trustworthy) are required.
- Ability to utilize common sense and skills in completing responsibilities and operating equipment conforming to company production, personnel, and safety procedures is needed.
- Ability to read and comprehend roofing specifications.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills are necessary.
- Good driving record and willingness to do regional travel are required.
- Computer literacy is essential.
- Ability to pass a physical agility test.
