Job Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is preferred.
- New Hire Education Requirement: New RNs without a BSN must commit to enrolling in an accredited RN to BSN program within 24 months of hire and must obtain their BSN within 5 years.
- Licensure: Active RN license is required.
- Preferred Experience: Familiarity with cardiac rhythm identification.
- Certifications: BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire; ACLS certification is required within one year.
- Specialty Requirements: Must meet and maintain any specialty-specific requirements, including ACLS for Critical Care/IMCU, PALS for Emergency Care, and other certifications as necessary.
Role Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse is accountable for delivering a competent level of nursing care, utilizing the nursing process which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN is expected to adhere to professional standards of practice and performance, which encompass ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, and evidence-based practice.
