Cardiac Technician

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Technician to join our team at Sentara Heart Hospital. As a Cardiac Technician, you will play a vital role in the preparation and recovery of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and cardiac OR procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist RNs in the prep and recovery of patients for cardiac procedures
- Prepare and recover patients for procedures in the Cath lab, EP lab, and Minor Procedure Room
- Transport patients to their inpatient room or assist in the discharge process
- Perform EKGs and obtain specimens as ordered
- Remove arterial and venous sheaths from the femoral, radial, and brachial sites
Requirements:
- High School Grad or Equivalent
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
- 1-2 years of patient care experience
- EKG Holter Monitor Hook-up experience ideal
