Role Summary

The Destination Product Specialist plays a pivotal role in curating and overseeing travel products and services within designated regions. This position requires fostering robust partnerships with local Destination Management Companies (DMCs) and enhancing existing offerings while innovating new travel experiences that align with the Avanti brand ethos. You will be the advocate for your assigned regions, passionately promoting both products and destinations to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture relationships with DMC partners through regular virtual interactions.
  • Create a diverse and engaging portfolio of unique travel products and experiences.
  • Continuously assess product performance alongside DMCs, conducting competitor analysis to ensure product availability and competitive pricing.
  • Monitor product quality to uphold Avanti standards, addressing operational and customer feedback as necessary.
  • Manage supplier pricing and ensure timely updates ahead of peak booking periods.
  • Utilize proprietary software for product management and maintain accurate product information.
  • Design and curate engaging itineraries for Avanti's travel programs.
  • Assist frontline reservations during peak seasons and collaborate with operational teams to resolve issues.
  • Support the Training Team with product knowledge and deliver training sessions as needed.
  • Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure effective promotion of products and destinations.
  • Participate in travel trade shows and industry events to represent Avanti and develop product offerings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Prior travel experience in Europe, Asia, and Latin America is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel to assigned destinations as required.
  • Fluency in a foreign language is a plus.
  • Technical aptitude for database management and technology integration.
