About the Role

Allied Reliability is seeking a seasoned Maintenance Manager to lead our program development, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for industrial equipment, production equipment, utility, and facility systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance program in accordance with equipment manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices.
  • Ensure timely execution of preventative maintenance tasks by maintenance technicians and operators.
  • Monitor the facility to ensure safety, security, and well-maintenance.
  • Coordinate and assign daily tasks with Department Supervisors for maintenance technicians as needed for production support and special projects.
  • Oversee and coordinate the Work Request and Work Order programs for quality and timeliness.
  • Train and manage maintenance techs on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment and utility systems.
  • Install, repair, and maintain machines, equipment, or structures using necessary tools.
  • Estimate and record costs to repair machines or equipment.
  • Develop a training program for all utility systems, including Ammonia Refrigeration and Boiler Systems, and credentialing for all staff.
  • Contribute to the success of the organization in measurable ways.
  • Support the General Manager in business planning for future building and equipment investments and expansions.
  • Manage projects as necessary, directing staff and/or working with general contractors.
  • Develop a Continuous Improvement Plan for the maintenance department.
  • Create SOPs for prioritization and resource allocation.
  • Promote General Plant Safety, Food Safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Report issues related to the Food Safety Management System to the Quality Assurance Manager or executive leadership team and adhere to FSMA requirements.
  • Apply working knowledge and application of OSHA programs and safety operating practices, including machine guarding, lockout/tag-out, personal protective equipment, and safe maintenance practices.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards.
  • Manage spare parts and maintenance materials inventory.
  • Develop an annual maintenance budget for approval and work within the approved budget.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain a Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO) License and Master Class Boiler License.
  • Minimum 5 years as a maintenance manager or supervisor in a fast-paced, rapid growth production or manufacturing environment.
  • Current utilization of Electrical/PLC/Controls experience.
  • Ability to read and understand manuals, drawings, and P&ID Documents.
