Unified Communications Systems Engineer

Job Description:
The Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks a skilled Unified Communications Systems Engineer to join our team. This role will involve designing and implementing conferencing and collaboration solutions using existing commercial and standards-based technologies to connect decision makers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement conferencing and collaboration solutions.
- Interact with technical specialists in other fields as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Provide mentorship to support early career staff growth and development.
- Detail work in technical reports and memoranda and present outcomes to sponsors and the technical community.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in information science and technology, computer science, computer engineering or another related technical field.
- At least ten years of relevant experience in developing and deploying Unified Communications solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree (or higher) in information science and technology, computer science, computer engineering or another related technical field.
- At least fifteen years of experience in developing and deploying Unified Communications solutions.
- Vendor or industry certifications in the operation and management of varied vendor communications technologies.
