Job Overview:
Loews Ventana Canyon Resort invites applications for a Sous Chef position. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food quality and service while ensuring seamless kitchen operations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety throughout the kitchen.
- Lead and manage a team of skilled chefs and cooks to achieve individual and team goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menus and promotions.
- Order and manage inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance.
- Recruit, train, and develop team members to achieve individual and team goals.
- Communicate effectively with the hospitality team to ensure excellent guest experiences.
- Comply with hotel policies, safety regulations, and environmental sustainability practices.
Requirements:
- ACF certification as 'Sous Chef' or equivalent culinary degree from a recognized institution.
- Minimum three years of experience in quantity food production, preferably in an upscale hotel or restaurant environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food production techniques.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
Salary Range:
The estimated annual salary for this position is between $58,000 and $72,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
