Job Summary:

The EHS Specialist will support the VWTS Analytical Instruments product line business with all elements of environmental, health, and safety for the manufacturing operations at Boulder, CO. This role will ensure a safe work environment for employees and contractors, support the existing EHS program, and assist in improving processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster and improve the EHS program and culture through updating and implementing site-specific EHS plans and processes.
  • Ensure conformance with all applicable federal, state, local, and corporate environmental, health and safety laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines.
  • Update, deliver, and record training through various means, including in-person, electronic, and small group meetings.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and assist in determining and addressing root causes.
  • Compile monthly/annual metrics for internal and external reporting.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least five years' experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting as an EHS professional adhering to 29 CFR 1910.
  • Intermediate-level use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certification in safety (e.g., ASP, CSP, GSP, CSHM, etc.) or further education and/or training in an Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Science program.
  • Experience implementing EHS programs and achieving measurable goals.
