Job Summary

As a key member of the Equus team, the Human Resources Director will oversee all aspects of human resources, including employee relations, training and development, regulatory compliance, compensation initiatives, benefits administration, and recruitment. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive business results through effective HR practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's business objectives
  • Oversee recruitment, screening, and hiring processes for all center staff
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual requirements and federal, state, and local laws
  • Conduct wage and salary surveys, job analyses, and recommend job description changes
  • Investigate complaints in a timely manner and oversee the staff disciplinary system
  • Develop and implement staff development and training programs
  • Prepare and conduct performance evaluations
  • Provide training to center management personnel on HR-related topics
  • Ensure Equus EEO Policy is communicated and adhered to by all staff
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, human resources, psychology, or a related field
  • Minimum of four to six years of progressive work experience managing components of human resources
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
