Job Title: Advanced Manufacturing EngineerJob Summary

CW Bearing is seeking an experienced Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at our facility in Northville, MI. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree, experience in a manufacturing environment, and expertise in troubleshooting CNC machines and GD&T.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain CNC programs for grinding, turning/milling & honing/super finishing machines.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to complete APQP process, install and initial start-up of equipment.
  • Design and implement process routings, process drawings, CNC programs, and tooling lists.
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Develop and maintain process FMEA's and other process documentation.
  • Troubleshoot processes and equipment.
  • Develop and monitor production measurables and productivity incentive plans.
  • Support senior engineers and lead refurbishing and repurposing of equipment.
  • Use Solidworks to create process models/process drawings.
  • Develop standard procedures to improve manufacturing processes and reduce overall cost.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T.
  • Ability to troubleshoot CNC machines.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma Concepts.
  • Familiarity with automotive specifications and GD&T.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel including customers & suppliers.
  • Experience working in a mass production environment with tight tolerances.
  • Hands on experience using Solid works, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
