Job Overview

Vestal Corporation is seeking a skilled Structural Designer to join our team. As a vital part of our growing team, this role has endless possibilities for career growth and development.

Job Summary: The Structural Designer will be responsible for developing structural designs from concept through construction, utilizing software such as Revit to create design drawing packages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement structural designs that meet design standards and adhere to code requirements.
  • Interface directly with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Assist in maintaining and expanding CAD/Revit standards to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Prioritize meeting project scopes while adhering to schedules and budgets.
  • Responsible for initial setup of Revit drawings based on files received from architects/clients.
  • Create plans and details based on sketches and red line markups received from engineers.
  • Comply with Company's Quality Control and Project Management procedures.
  • Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization's goals.

Work Environment:

This role is performed in a Vestal Corporation office, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Computer Aided Drafting or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in Revit is required.
  • Strong computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.
