Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at Baylor Genetics. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day supervision of clinical laboratory personnel in the Specimen Management Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain schedules to ensure timely sample accessioning
  • Hire, train, and orient new laboratory employees
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures
  • Maintain and order supplies and equipment
  • Prepare and report laboratory metrics and progress reports
  • Provide regular performance feedback, mentor employees, and complete annual performance reviews
  • Verify staff training and competency according to laboratory regulations
  • Maintain laboratory compliance according to CAP, NY, CLIA regulations
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory operations and a proven track record of supervising laboratory personnel. A bachelor's degree in a related field is required, and a master's degree or higher is preferred. The candidate should have at least six years of relevant experience in a laboratory setting.
