The Medical Equipment Service Specialist will report directly to the Operations Manager and Supervisors in each region. This role encompasses the delivery, maintenance, and retrieval of Kreg Therapeutics' rental medical devices. Specialists must effectively communicate with Central Dispatch and attentively address customer requirements. They are responsible for preparing equipment for patient use through thorough maintenance, sanitization, and testing.
Key Responsibilities of the Medical Equipment Service Specialist:
- While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee will be required to stand and walk for the majority of their shift.
- Must be capable of lifting and moving 50 pounds.
- Must possess the strength to maneuver and halt the movement of a 1000-pound hospital bed, including pushing, turning, or pulling it throughout the facility to a patient care area.
- May be required to drive significant distances daily.
- Must be able to stand, kneel, and stoop for up to 8 hours daily to clean and sanitize equipment.
- Must be able to ascend and descend a two-foot step from the truck deck to ground level multiple times per day.
- Deliver, service, and retrieve medical equipment from healthcare facilities.
- Be trained in testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and operating all Kreg Therapeutics products.
- Maintain company vehicles in a clean and organized manner.
- Sanitize rental equipment in accordance with Kreg Therapeutics policies and procedures.
- Accurately complete daily reporting requirements.
- Initiate and sustain positive interactions with all stakeholders and patients.
- Responsible for fulfilling orders within the designated time frame.
- Meet all competency expectations to operate a 20-foot box truck and adhere to all company safe driving standards.
- Consistently maintain communication with central dispatch regarding customer orders.
Qualifications:
- A valid Driver's License.
- Experience driving commercial vehicles.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Willingness to travel overnight occasionally for product transfers within regions.
- Able to pass a criminal background check and preliminary/random drug screening.
- Availability to work in a 24/7 environment on a specific shift.
- Previous experience in a service-oriented industry is advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication and customer service abilities.
- Capability to lift 50 lbs., load and drive box trucks, and maneuver large medical devices, with comfort in an ICU/Trauma unit environment.
