Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Specialist to join our team at Sunstate Equipment. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, ensuring our fleet is in top working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with heavy equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Work effectively in a team environment to achieve maintenance goals and deadlines.
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices for equipment maintenance and repair.

Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with a construction equipment background.
  • Experience with diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, as well as drive trains.
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with a good mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods.
  • Must have the necessary tools to do the job.
  • High quality control. Respect your work and make it known.
  • Solving problems and troubleshooting go hand-in-hand in this role.
  • Team-player, you work well supporting your team to achieve goals.
