Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mammography Technologist to join our team at Northern Light Health. As a key member of our medical imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures and ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional patient care and safety protocols during imaging procedures.
- Correlate clinical history with test results and determine the most suitable anatomical posture and positions for patients.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring safe handling and minimizing hazards.
- Instruct and prepare patients for mammography examinations, accurately completing patient assessment forms.
- Assess patient pain and make appropriate physician contact for intervention.
- Perform special radiographic examinations, including needle localizations, magnification views, and post-surgical examinations.
- Process exams, loading patient demographics, imaging, and transferring images to PACS.
- Adhere to prescribed standards for Radiation Safety and work collaboratively with patients, staff, surgeons, and radiologists to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Transport patients, specimens, and instruments, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure timely completion of result letters and maintain accurate records and reports.
Requirements:
- Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Additional Mammography certification is preferred.
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
