Overview
The Lead Nursing Coordinator is a Registered Nurse who plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality patient care while establishing a professional identity within the healthcare environment. This position is responsible for adhering to the nursing standards as outlined in the relevant regulations and organizational policies. The Lead Nursing Coordinator oversees the care provided to assigned patients and supervises other qualified personnel to whom patient care responsibilities have been delegated.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Safety
- Ensures the delivery of safe and effective patient care by employing best practices during communication and reporting.
- Demonstrates proficiency in the operation and maintenance of medical equipment.
Clinical Assessments
- Conducts and documents thorough assessments based on established protocols.
- Identifies and addresses abnormal diagnostic results, promptly notifying the appropriate healthcare provider.
Professional Conduct
- Cultivates and maintains a professional rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Treats all individuals with dignity and respect.
Critical Thinking
- Applies theoretical knowledge to enhance patient care practices.
Documentation
- Maintains accurate and comprehensive documentation in compliance with hospital and legal standards.
Competency in Population-Specific Care
- Completes mandatory education and training specific to the patient population served.
- Provides culturally sensitive care tailored to the needs of patients and families.
Evidence-Based Practice
- Practices in alignment with organizational policies and demonstrates awareness of current evidence-based practices.
Leadership and Team Collaboration
- Manages time effectively and adheres to attendance expectations.
- Communicates clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members, seeking assistance for conflict resolution when necessary.

- Utilizes available resources efficiently and seeks help when required.

Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license in the relevant state.
- BLS certification is mandatory.

Physical Requirements
