Staff Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in Gastroenterology at the University of Miami. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate patients with gastrointestinal conditions, developing and implementing individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and provide education on disease management and treatment options.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patient responses and adjusting care plans as needed.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, promoting a positive and compassionate care environment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
- Current Florida Registered Nurse License
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Gastroenterology or a related field
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
