Position Summary:
The EHS Specialist will play a pivotal role in cultivating a robust environment, health, and safety culture at our manufacturing site. This position involves a range of responsibilities across multiple shifts within a dynamic operational framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • EHS Standards & Integrated Management:
    Assist in the deployment of EHS standards and site-specific protocols to ensure adherence to regulatory and corporate guidelines. Contribute to the development of EHS components, risk assessments, and training materials.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    Mitigate liability by ensuring completion and documentation of safety and environmental recommendations. Maintain accurate records of compliance and safety metrics, including OSHA logs and air emissions data.
  • Training & Resource Management:
    Serve as a primary resource for EHS matters, guiding management on regulatory compliance and safety standards. Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee awareness and understanding of EHS principles.
  • Compliance & Safety Initiatives:
    Lead the identification and management of risks, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to uphold safety and sanitary conditions.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Utilize continuous improvement methodologies to enhance EHS programs, driving initiatives that reduce workplace hazards and environmental impacts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive EHS experience, with advanced certifications being advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and effective project management skills.
  • Proficient in relevant software applications and strong communication abilities.
